ABOUT ME:

Desirea R. Russell is a “military brat” who has called Georgia home for the past 20 years. She holds a Bachelors in Women’s studies and Sociology from the University of Georgia, a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from North Carolina A&T State University, and a Master’s in Small Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She has been working in the mental health field since 2007 and is dedicated to providing quality services to those looking to reinvest in themselves. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, as well as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Her clinical areas of specialty include individual/family counseling, addiction, trauma, and depression and anxiety.


Desirea specializes in treating personality and mood disorders, AD/HD, and co-occurring disorders. She has extensive experience in career counseling, individual/couples counseling, and working with the LGBTQIA community. Desirea enjoys working with adolescents, teens, and adults. She applies the cognitive-behavioral approach and solution-focused brief therapy; however, is experienced in several other therapeutic modalities.
